The world's first platform makes the purchase of a vehicle with low to zero emissions affordable for more motorists. With the model, the brand aims to set a milestone in the company's sustainability strategy. Jochen Sengphiel, Vice President Marketing Hyundai Motor Europe, said, "We are showing a way forward in electric mobility by not compromising on design and driving experience, while leveraging new connectivity capabilities."
The Ionique Hybrid and Ionique Plug-in use the new Kappa 1.6 GDI gasoline engine with direct injection. The four-cylinder offers the highest thermal efficiency of 40% in this category. It produces a maximum of 105 hp with a torque of 147 Nm.
