KART-SM In Lignières the autobau Swiss Kart Championship 2017 ends on Sunday. Only in one of five classes the champion is determined. If everything doesn't go against the grain for him, Nicolas Rohrbasser will be signed off as champion of the SKM king class KZ2 on Sunday.

The TCS training ground in Lignières/NE, which is excellently suited for kart races, offers a lot of safety and is perfectly manageable for the spectators, welcomes the drivers of the autobau Swiss Kart Championship (SKM) 2017 for the second time. Visitors only have to pay a fee for the parking lot and otherwise enjoy free entry.

The five classes - KZ2 switch karts, OK Senior, Iame X30 Challenge Switzerland, Iame X30 Junior and Supermini (youth class) will each hold two heats and one final race on Sunday. So the Sunday program consists of no less than 15 races. The important qualifying will already be held late on Saturday afternoon.

Ideal terrain: spectators can watch the racing action from the elevated natural grandstands, with free admission.

With 12-year-old Elia Sperandio in the SuperMini class, only one champion has been determined. While Nicolas Rohrbasser (KZ2) and Mike Müller (X30 Junior) are traveling to Lignières with a comfortable points lead in their classifications, there is a lot of suspense in the OK Senior and X30 Challenge Switzerland classes: only 9 and 10 points separate the title contenders. A total of 75 points are still up for grabs in each class.

All five final races will also be broadcast via livestream with commentary on the internet at swiss-sport.tv. This service was guaranteed during all races of this year's championship and made the SKM 2017 accessible to a wider audience. Those who want can also watch the races afterwards.
