The undisputed highlight at the Skoda stand will certainly be the "Vision E" concept car, the model and prototype for the electric offensive that is about to begin.

In addition to these two highlights, the stand in Hall 3 will provide a representative cross-section of the Skoda model range.

Experience the future
By 2025, Skoda plans to offer not only plug-in hybrid vehicles but also five purely electrically powered cars in its model range. The Superb with plug-in hybrid drive is to be launched as early as the 2019 model year. This will be followed in 2020 by the first purely electric model, for which a concrete preview will be given in Frankfurt in the form of the Vision E.

The interior of the study is futuristic - and may soon be seen in series production.

High level
The study can be driven automatically on Level 3. The design has its own distinctive features, with the doors opening in opposite directions and four individual seats that swivel. There are no longer any exterior mirrors - cameras transmit what is happening around the vehicle to monitors. Compared with the vehicle at its world premiere in Shanghai, the front end has been further developed. The drive is provided by two electric motors with a system output of 225 kW/306 hp and is transmitted to all four wheels. The range is said to be up to 500 kilometers, and the top speed is 180 km/h (factory data).

Compact SUV
Alongside this study, the new Karoq SUV is making its trade show debut in Frankfurt (AutoSprintCH reported). The compact SUV measures 4382 millimeters in length, 1841 millimeters in width and 1603 millimeters in height. The trunk holds a volume of 521 liters with the rear seat fixed. With the bench seat folded down, the capacity increases to 1630 liters. The VarioFlex system consists of three separate rear seats that can be individually adjusted and completely removed - the compact SUV then becomes a small van with a maximum cargo space volume of 1810 liters.
