Its 2.9 TFSI engine with 331 kW/450 hp and 600 Nm max. torque makes it the spearhead of the A4 family. The standard quattro drive distributes the power of the V6 biturbo to all four wheels.
Striking appearance
The designers were inspired by numerous motorsport details when designing the fourth generation of the Audi RS 4 Avant. Air inlets with the typical RS honeycomb structure and the wide and flat single-frame grille characterize the front. The optional Matrix LED headlights feature darkened bezels. Compared to the Audi A4 Avant, the wheel arches have been widened by 30 mm and are further emphasized by the quattro blisters. The optional Nogaro blue pearl effect exterior color is reminiscent of the first RS generation from 1999.
More torque
The V6 biturbo in the new Audi RS 4 Avant delivers 331 kW/450 hp. Its maximum torque of 600 Nm - 170 Nm more than the previous model - is available across a wide rev range from 1900 to 5000 rpm. This enables the Audi RS 4 to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. It reaches a top speed of 250 km/h, and with the optional RS dynamic package, the top speed rises to 280 km/h according to the factory. The new Audi RS 4 Avant weighs 1790 kg, 80 kg less than before.
Coming in 2018
The Audi RS 4 Avant will be available to order from fall 2017 and will be in dealerships in Switzerland from the beginning of 2018. The base price is 103,000 Swiss francs.
