e-tron
The Audi e-tron Sportback is to be the second electric car in the Audi production network from 2019 with production in Brussels. Here is the "concept" study, which was recently presented for the first time at the Shanghai Auto Show.

Audi is adding a new e-tron model to its model portfolio. Production of the Audi e-tron Sportback will start at Audi in the Belgian capital Brussels in 2019.

Second model at the site
This site will thus also take over production of a second all-electric model, as the Audi e-tron electric SUV will roll off the production line there from 2018. In addition to the e-tron, the brand is integrating a second, completely new electric car into its existing production network with the e-tron Sportback, thereby increasing its competitiveness in this important future segment. "By opting for the e-tron Sportback, we are demonstrating that Audi is taking the topic of electromobility seriously. A second battery-electric model will optimally utilize the capacity of our Brussels site in the future," said Prof. Dr. Hubert Waltl, Member of the Board of Management for Production and Logistics at the Bavarian carmaker.

Design study in advance
The basis for the new e-car is the "e-tron Sportback concept" design study, which the company recently presented for the first time at Auto Shanghai 2017. The concept car is a four-door Gran Turismo with a 320 kW electric drive. According to the supplier, the design language of the coupe combines classic elements with forward-looking details.
